A tip of 15%-20% is customary for the mate! The mate works very hard before, during and after the trip in an effort to provide you an enjoyable day of recreation on the bay. If the boat is full of novice anglers a mates job can be double hard. Being a mate on a charter boat is not easy work and these guys deserve every dime the get. So please remember them at the end of the trip as they do not get paid for this service! Make Up Charter InfoSometimes you may not have enough people for a charter by yourself. If so then make-up (arranged) trips are a perfect choice. Arranged trips are coordinated by the captain to take a group of people on the boat for a trip. The cost is $120 per person and includes the boat fee, licenses, fishing equipment and ice for the fish box. We don't believe in hidden prices. The only thing the $120 does not cover is the bait (if required) and the cleaning of the fish. A lot of times there is not time to clean the fish between trips and still be able to prepare for the next time. We will try and clean the fish on the way in to the dock but we can't guarantee that we will able to to do this. There are usually people available in the Marina to clean the fish for an small fee. For half day and full day trips a deposit of $200 will secure you trip with the exception of make up trips. We require a minimum of 14 days noticed to cancel or reschedule a charter using the applied deposit. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit of your deposit. In the event in inclement weather, unless contacted by Captain Tim, you are required to show up on the date of the charter. If it is determined by Captain Tim that the weather is too bad, your deposit will be applied to a later date.
